What is Fil-à-Fil?
Before an idea becomes fabric, it all starts with choosing the right yarns. For our high-quality fil à fil, we deliberately selected two different yarn characteristics:
🧶 the colored, shiny viscose yarn provides a soft drape and rich depth
🪴the white linen yarn stands for naturalness, texture, and the typical lively surface
It is only through the interaction of the individual threads that the special mélange is created, making the fabric appear so interesting.
A very fine warp, which is not visually prominent here, and alternately inserted weft threads of colored viscose and white structured linen create this fabric appearance.
Fil à fil, translated from French, means "thread by thread" and creates this unique effect of a false plain (Faux Uni).
