"Why don't we get Bullani hats made?" my friend suddenly suggested, who had been complaining about the relentless sun exposure on his head during hot day trips.

And so we found ourselves on our way to Bamberg, our favorite cotton fabric – our summer tweed, a high-quality fabric that can also be ordered in our online fabric shop – in the back seat. On the drive home in our vintage convertible, the hats sat firmly and securely, nothing slipped, and for the first time in a long time, I could fully enjoy the wind – without having to worry about my headscarf slipping.
